We've had a pretty laid back weekend. Here are a few snippets:
We went to Target last night and found some things for Betsy's room and the younger boys' room, too - I'll have to take pictures once we get the stuff in.
I've resolved to make a bunch of UBW Hats (I have to use a P hook to get it to come out the right size - I HATE crocheting tight!) and I'm looking for a place to donate them. (I want to find someplace local, so please don't ask me to ship them somewhere.) I want to get them done by Thanksgiving or the beginning of December; now I'm trying to decide what a reasonable number would be - 50 is a reasonable (and very doable) number, but I don't know if it's enough of a challenge. Maybe I start there and see how quickly I get the first 50 done?? I'll post a pic of what's done later.
Justin is using the potty again - we got really lazy with it when we moved because it was so much easier to just put a pull up on him (all my fault, I take full responsibility for it); he is now asking to go when he needs to. It's very exciting to think of never buying diapers again! He's also eating a wider variety of foods, too; he's eating some pastas, rolls (when we're out) and meatballs. And will often try a bite of something "new". It's progress, anyway - anything is better than pb&j and frozen celeste pizzas at every meal!

Faith, Elena lived on Pizza, chicken nuggets, vegetable stew and PB & J for 5 years and survived. Just recently, and I think her tastes are changing, she's trying everything and loving it!
Ah yes ... chicken nuggets. And fish sticks. It's been so nice to see him starting to eat new things - he had a good 2 oz of cooked chicken breast and some mashed potatoes for supper, actually tried a bite of green bean - things that even a month ago he wouldn't have touched. Woohoo!
After four kids I've learned that they survive pretty well, but especially for someone who loves to cook, having a child who basically wouldn't touch my cooking stunk, lol!
